Our shows are often a few hours away and we travel the night before and stay over. However although Inky travels well it often seems to take the shine off him the next day when showing and leaves him alittle flat

A friend has suggested some kind of supplement or electrolites (sp?) a few days before and whilst were away but im unsure how these would work??

Can anyone suggest anything i could try to give him to help him recover after travelling??

He's a 32" 3 yr old miniature horse stallion BTW, so we dont ride just do inhand

I use an electrolyte mix for travelling which was made up by Roger Hatch at Trinity Consultants. Roger has vast wealth of knowledge and will be happy to talk to you about specific requirements, as what suits my 15.3 endurance Arab might not suit your little chap! Their phone no is 01243 552622, and think they have a website at www.justbespoke.com.

God it wish i had that problem- we took our tb for a 3hour jaunt down the motorway on saturday and she came off the trailer like she was coming out of starting stalls!
came out so fast she took the breastbar with her and dented our 510 so much we couldn't do the ramp up!

I know some people feed Coligone to help deal with the stress of travelling, I've been thinking about trying it myself although haven't done so yet. Might be worth pming H's Mum to see what she says.
