Travelling ned in trailer

Do you think its is better to travel with or without partition? My horses have always seemed to be happier travelling without partition with a full width breast bar but I know that some people think this is dangerous. Thought please.

As long as they have a breast bar I don't see how it can be dangerous? Some horses prefer to travel diagonally.

I travel mine without, he seems far happier like this unless he's in my friends 510 (we have a 505). We also travelled our two year old without a partition the two times she has travelled - looking at her through the front window, she was stood dead centre, as happy as could be expected! I do cross tie, as I find they try to turn around to look behind.

If Dizz travels without the partition, she stands herringbone way, but always has a bruise on her bum from leaning on the wall

. It does not happen when she travels with the partition.

my (large ) mare was travelling badly in the trailer and getting worse. It's a 510. Have bought single breast and breech bar and she now travels like a dream. I do cross tie her so she can't turn round. She stands diagonally across trailer with her bum in a corner.
