I recently acquired a new horse but I've come across a possibly big problem - he only travels on the right. This wouldn't be a huge problem but my other horse is exactly the same. So I've ended up with two horses who only travel on the right side of the horse box.

The plan was to be able to bring the two of them away to places....but this is looking unlikely now :(

Does anyone have any tips or ideas to help me get them (or even one!) used to travelling on the left side? Renting/buying a lorry just isn't a viable option...but could possibly solve my problem :(

Check floor and tyres are OK, it could be they feel unstable on the one side, then maybe try a different trailer, such as equitrek where they are rear facing, they may travel better backwards.

The box was recently serviced and besides replacing some older electrical cables I was told the box was in great condition. Wheels are regularly checked for air pressure etc :)

I'm in Ireland where we have very few Equitrek's and I'm just not in a position to buy one new from the UK :(

Someone recommended taking out the back partition...has anyone found this helps?

What do they do to make you think they only want to travel on the right?
Some horses want more balance room so taking the partition out could help, but that won't help being able to travel them together!
