travelling question - I'm fussing

Tomorrow is supposed to be wet and windy and I am taking my boy for a 5 to 6 hour journey in the trailer. He is allergic to dust so I usually leave the back doors open to give him plenty of fresh air but if its raining on him should I close them? Do they mind traveling with them closed?

You could always close the one on his side, but leave the other open if you were really worried! But we always travel with both shut if we are going on busy roads, and Ellie is perfectly happy. Just the same as being in a lorry really!

I never shut the back doors in my trailer unless I'm travelling something loose or a youngster that might attempt a break-free and escape.

Put a waterproof mac on him if you're worried, but it won't harm him getting wet.

LOL! Hes only a great big hairy cob - he makes it very clear that a bit of rain WILL do him a lot of harm

Thanks for the replies - I'll put his lightweight turnout on and close the doors if its pouring.

..... now what else can I worry about

I wouldn't close the top doors - he's better ahving the air (and a bit of rain) than the dust.

unless you are travelling the same direction as the wind he won't get much of the rain anyway.

stick a rain sheet on him, and when you stop just check he's warm enough (he probably will be)
