Travelling Strangers

I need to take a friends pony with ours to PC in a few weeks, they've been ridden in the school together before but don't really know each other.

Both ponies are well mannered and not known to kick or bite but is it wise to travel 2 ponies together that don't know each other very well?

Can you get a head guard for the trailer just to be sure they don't take lumps out of each other?

Yeah, they will be fine, just make sure their lead ropes aren’t too long so they can’t ‘play’. I’ve done this with friends ponies quite a few times, and they have always been absolutely fine.

Mine's had to travel with horses he's never met before and always been fine.

Poor Kalli seems to be travelling with a different horse she's never met before every time out

Never been a problem -as JoBo said just make sure they're tied up tightly enough that they can't takes swipes at each other.

As others have said, make sure they are tied short, or use a head guard so they are seperated. I do know of someone who travelled a strange horse with hers and they started fighting causing the trailer to sway and subsequently overturn.
