Do I take the divider out of the box or keep it in ??

She is fine travelling without it , as I have never had her in the box with a divider she wasnt tied the first few times , reason being just to let her find her feet .

So now that shes used to being tied up , do I travel her with a divider ? or leave her without ??

Hoping to get her a run out either this evening or tomorrow before balmoral on tuesday evening ( drive to balmoral is about an hr , mainly motorway )

Advice please

Partitions are really only to seperate two horses. I have my boy herringbone and have left the partition in as if he stood forwards he wouldn't have enough room behind him from the gates. So I make the partition space quite wide to give him more room to balance.

If your horse is happy without a partition, don't put one in. It might freak her out if you suddenly put one in. Only my thouhgts though.

tbh i wouldn't make an issue of it! i would leave the trailer as it is pop her in on the right and take her for a drive, as you said she tiers up now, as a yearling she should start getting used to these things now as it will set her up for life, the only awkard loader i have is the one i bought as a six year old who had done nothing! my 2yo runs into the trailer and ties up fine having travelled to shows since 6 months old! good luck with her travelling and at balmoral!

Thing is I dont want her trying to turn around once I have her tied ... thats my only worry with not having a partition in .

She does like to chew lead ropes although she will have a haynet in with her .. damn thats another worry what if she decides to chew the haynet and it gets loose and falls and she gets caught in it and panicks !!

Eek Im a nervous wreck at the minute .

I would travel her without but she MUST be tied on BOTH sides. That will prevent her turning round.
If she will chew ropes, secure her with short chains that have a quick release catch.
I doubt she will chew through the haynet, but make sure it is a halage type with tiny holes in, just in case she gets stressed and strikes out with a front hoof which might get stuck. (Don't want to stress you more but needs thinking about!)

I'm sure all will go well on the day.
