TREAT BALL/ELDERLY PONY

I’m just wondering what you all put in your elder ponies treat balls that are struggling to chew?
I was looking at Dodson and Horrell sixteen plus mix, but unsure if it will get stuck in the ball?
Unfortunately Sunny is now struggling to chew his Thunderbrook hay cobs so I’m looking for something smaller and easier to chew?
I’m not looking for treat recommendations I’d rather put a feed that’s actually beneficial in it.

I used to put seedless grapes in for my TB, he loved them, they were the right size and they contained no feed value (he was a little porker)

I used to put 16+ cubes in mine. They come out easy enough but my elderly horse had no issues chewing so can’t comment on that.

I feed my fussy old boy the 16+ mix and it is quite sticky so I would say that it might get abit stuck in the ball.

My horse's elderly friend with chewing issues loves Thunderbrooks hay cobs so much I just break them into small bits for him (I aim for half inch cubes) - he can manage the smaller bits quite happily.
