What do you use on new leather? I was going to rub a bit of neatsfoot oil on a slightly stiff (cheap!) noseband I bought, and, failing to find it ended up using some lard. Will see what it's like tomorrow!
Have also got a very cheap JHL bridle for daily work, but it's losing a LOT of pigment. Lucky my horse is dark!! Is there anything I can put on it to 'seal' the dye or do I just have to wait for it to wear off? It appears to have been oiled to death before sale.
