Do these exist?
All the treats I see advertised either make no mention of the energy levels or are very keen to point out they're low energy/sugar/non-fattening. I'm looking for the opposite. My oldie is retired at grass with dreadful dentition so always drops some weight in winter. I pop up once week and hand feed lots of treats - usually bananas, apples and some carrots. I have also taken to feeding a big handful of treats on every visit and I do think it's helped him keep some weight on this winter. Ideally I'm looking for something that has a high oil content but is in large nuggets so I can hand feed without him eating my hand. I know a large handful of feed once a week won't make much difference but it also won't do him any harm either.

The KM Elite treats are oily but they are normal treat sized (half the length of the average thumb I would say)

Stud muffins are a good size but do include rather a lot of molasses. Delicious though 😄

I feed Coligone treats regularly. I don't think they quite fit the bill for what you're after but they are tummy friendly and do seem to get a nice shine on the horse.

I think most treats are designed to be the opposite - non fattening. Would hand feeding some tasty feed like Saracen Re-Leve work or would it not be concentrated enough? Or you could make your own and add oil?

Could you feed micronized linseed in a bowl along with your regular goodies? You could still hand feed treats before/after if that's what you like to do.

Re stud muffins. We're no 1 fans of these but the oldie who had few teeth couldn't manage them

Would some linseed lozenges suit the bill at all?

Why not just offer a daily feed?
2 reasons:
1 - i only go up once a week,
2 - I have to walk through fields of other horses. Doing that with a bucket is asking for trouble and we already get enough attention just with our pockets stuffed.

I think the KM Elite might be the best thing to go with. Thanks for the suggestions.
