Tredstep Donatello dress boot.. ok for jumping?

I'm after a new pair of long boots, something that I can use for dressage and jumping.. bit of an all round boot really. (I have my Konigs for pure dressage). I was looking at the Tredstep Donatello dress boot but am wondering if it drops enough for jumping? They also do the Donatello field boot and the Da Vinci, but I'm confused about the differences. Can anyone recommend which of the Tredstep would be a good all round boots.

I use the Donatello Field Boots for jumping - the ones with the laces - and I love them. They look great

I have both the Donatello and da Vinci and have to say they really are not worth the money at all. I look after my boots and clean them after every ride but they really have not worn well at all. The laces on both pairs of boots snapped within a month

The cheaper ones of the two (I think the Donatello) started off with nice soft leather and I genuinely really liked them and they dropped a fair bit (too much for me). I found them quite comfy to ride in and still do but they look so bad now even with regular cleaning. The more expensive of the two (perhaps the DA Vinci) are the ones I hate the most as the leather is just so stiff and bulky I just don't feel comfortable in them at all, they so haven't worn well at all, on both pars the leather has faded to. Greg and even polishing them can't rectify it. The zip went in the more expensive ones quite quickly and as I hated them so much I just haven't bothered getting them replaced haha.They also rub my feet still after a year of owning them so I can't even walk in them

These boots have been the biggest waste of money, I've ended up caving in and ordering a pair of de niros so fingers crossed I'll finally have a pair of boots that I like and that wear well!!

Thanks Nato and Polo. Uuummm, might have to go back to the drawing board then! Not a good advert for them Polo, especially as you cleaned them and took good care of them. You'd have expected them to last quite some time even if they are at the cheaper end of the long boot market. Maybe I'll have a look at De niros. Are these an all rounder? would I be able to jump in them?

Can't say I've ever had a problem with them. My Tredstep gaiters I had for 8 years, until my calves got fat and eventually the elastic stretched and I had to admit defeat, and am now on the hunt for a new pair! I have many friends who had the Tredstep Donatellos for years, as their day and show boot, and they wore well, only being replaced after 3-4 years.

I've had mine for nearing on 6 months now and they are still in great nick - though I only wear them to shows (3-4 times a month) so maybe that's why.

I have the Donatello dress boots and really like them, but they haven't been out much since they are my competition boots (and I haven't done a whole lot of that recently!). I do have the boots and gaiters and love them, so much better than anything else I've had before for the same price.
