Treeless Peeps ! Are Trekker saddles any good?

I had one a trekker talent. It rubbed my mares back under the cantle area. I also had to have it repaired 3 times in a year where the stitching came undone. Twice where the stirrup leathers attach and once where the pommel thing attaches.
I have a peice of vid somewhere that shows how it moved on my horses back. No wonder it rubbed her. Will try and find it.....

As you can guess not impressed.

Oh and edited to say I am still using a treeless just not the trekker lol.

What type/shape of horse was yours?
Mine is welsh D X Fell, so he has withers and his back isnt really flat cob type, but is quite round naturally (not fat!)
Could you reccomend a good one that I could get (2nd hand is ok) ?
Are Libras a good make ?

As you gather I dont know much about them but to avoid the cheap India made ones!
But I would really like to give it a go as I love the contact of riding bareback and a saddle that can change with my horse.

My mare is a Dales. Have sent you a link to the vid via pm.

I now have a phoenix. Sold my soul to get it but money well spent. Have been using it for about 4 years with no problems.

I have heard good things about the barefoot saddles that are at the cheaper end of the treeless market but don't actually know anyone who has one!

Isnt it quite a bit dependant on what pad you have underneath right?
