My pony is very wide.
We are thinking of getting her a treeless saddle as even in an extra wide her current saddle does seem to fit right.

She currently has a 15 inch seat.

Does the length of seat matter as much in a treeless saddle?

A friends pony who is 13.hh has a treeless saddle with a 17in seat.
It was fitted by a professional.

My pony is bigger at 13.2 and a little longer in the back.

Treeless saddles are usually made to fit the rider's bum, so yes the legth of the seat is important. They still need to be fitted by an experienced saddle fitter and you may well find that you get what you pay for with the less expensive ones.

I have a treeless saddke package for sale (Freeform) which has a 16.5/17 inch seat.

pm me if you are interested in some pics and more info.

Absolutely, the length of a treeless saddle is as important as a treed saddle. Be careful what you buy though, some are awful, usually (but not always) the cheap ones such as on ebay. I saw and handled some models of a popular brand today, and wouldn't fit them to a rocking horse!
