Does anyone have any good makes of treeless saddles? I am looking at getting one for my veteran as her back is constantly changing - she is a cob but has quite high withers due to muscle wastage on her back so would a treeless still be ok?
My budget is £300 and I have been looking at the Requisite Roamer saddle and wondering whether it is any good?

NOTE: I AM NOT LOOKING AT THOSE CHEAP ONES FROM INDIA OFF EBAY! :D

Shame coz mine from equine wholesaler is awesome. Saddler and physio are really happy with it and so am I, delivery was rapid, horse has more back problems than you can shake a stick at, none of which have bothered her since I got it and it was less than 150 quid. Was from india via ebay though. Avoid freemax jump. Starts at twice ur budget and virtually impossible to ride well in.

Never heard of equine wholesaler, is it stupidly wide and make you bow legged like some treeless saddles do?

I'm saving up for a solution one, they look fab but at £2000 I'm wondering whether it is worth it.

Ive ridden in a Solution and did really like it, however preferred the Heather Moffett Vogue - which is soft treed - mainly because the leather was just amazing.

Heather has a flexEE saddle retailing at £349 which is leather treed and proving a huge success - there is a backlog of orders atm but looking to clear that by December/Jan :)

my friend has a ghost treeless & she swears by it maybe worth a try , there very well made from italy i think ?

The FlexEE isn't quite as forgiving as a fully treeless or flex-tree saddle in my experience. You need a bit more care over the width fitting. Ditto any treeless that has a rigid pommel, such as the Dream, Torsion, Dartmoor Treefree... Also watch that your bum isn't too snug with a rigid cantle.
With treeless you tend to get what you pay for, so I think you are right to avoid the cheap Indian saddles. Some of them are terrible once taken apart and not good for the horses' backs at all. I'd suggest spending your money wisely on a good second-hand treeless, which should have the benefit of retaining value well if you sell it in the future. Something like a Fhoenix, Sensation, Dartmoor Treefree (I prefer to Torsion) or Freeform.
Yes, I am a treeless saddle nerd.
And I have pm'd you.
Solution saddles are good as well, but possibly not going to be within your budget. You might not get a newer Fhoenix either, but an older one possibly if you hit lucky.
