treeless saddles

I have the Barefoot London - dressage model - great value for money - not the best looking of the treeless models, but not the worst and is well made. Mine with the dressage girth, leathers, saddle cover and the special pad with postage came to £540 - from Horse and Harmoney.

It took a little getting used to, a cross between english and western with the feeling you get from bareback - took me about 30 mins, but mine is very comfortable and I personally feel very secure in it, more than happy to have a gallop and I only do small jumps now with Cairo, no more than 2' so cannot comment on the jumping. I do know you can get jumping models in treeeless.

I use mine on our 16.3 clydie and my baby 14.3 and still fast growing gypsy cob. The old boy has never gone better - he loves the saddle. Youngster I cannot comment on as he has only even been ridden treeless.

I bought mine as I did not want to change saddles every few months with a growing youngster and Cairo's saddle was not fitting him that well. I will if Chancer does well at showing, look for one of the more expensive showing types - but if I can stay with treeless I will.

I have a treeless dressage one by total Saddle Solutions. I really like it, it makes you feel so much closer to the horse. I didn't notice that much difference in the horse's way of going but it definitely helps to build up proper back muscles without any wastage just behind the shoulder blade. Im ashamed to admit i spent just over £2000 on mine!, but would recommend it. The model i have you can jump in too adn use different blocks to help get you in the correct posistion. They also make another model that is specifically designed for jumping.

just had a copperbeech saddle. It's fab, so comfy, i love it and so does my boy.

He is less spooky as he can feel me more and really strides out/ Have done small jumps with no probs

I have a barefoot cheyenne - I love it - feel very secure - I have jumped in it, but nothing major. My ned much prefers it as his girth issues have totally gone since I have been using it.
