Has anybody heard of this successful show pony from the late 60's and early 70's...I've recently aquired some of her rosettes and a lovingly made name plaque of hers and would love to find out a bit more about her....thank you.

I remember her from the pages (and indeed the front cover) of 'Pony' magazine in the late 60's.

She was indeed a very well known show pony, if I remember correctly she was chesnut with a broad white blaze.

I think she was successful at both HOYs and RIHS, and was rather a legend.

Tiny bit more information..as I thought I remembered she won at HOYs (although not sure which year) and was ridden by Susan Ann Rose.

WOW !! thank you for this information, yes the plaque is a hand painted portrait of a chestnut with a white blaze and the rosettes are from Bath & West Show, I'll try the HOYS archives, thank you...

Amazing breeding, I loved Bwlch Valentino. Veronica was around whilst I was working with show hunters and ponies and I seem to think her dam had other successful progeny... wish I could remember their names. It will be another case of me sitting bolt upright in bed at 3am and shouting out the name!!

I know....direct breeding to Bwlch Valentino amazing !! when you sit up in the night can you try and remember what you remember !!

Treharne Valencia had one foal in 1993 - Papermill Vienna. Not in the same class as his aunty, but had some success at county level as a WHP.
