Trekking with big horses...

Hi,

Id like to introduce one of my mates to the joys of equitation. I've been riding for years, but he's never sat on a horse before.

I'd like to take him trekking, but past experience suggests a lot of places limit their riders to 13st due to the size of their horses...we're both well ove 6 foot tall and around 17st...

Im just wondering if there are any trekking places out there - pref Cheshire, Staffordshire or North Wales that keep horses big enough to take us...?
