Tri-tec fly spray 'insecticide'

Do you actually only spray it every two weeks as it says on the bottle? Is it safe to put on the face (given that it says 'do not apply directly to animals' on the label!)?

I find I need to re-apply every 5 days. It is safe to use - the only reason it isn't marketed over here as an equine flyspray is because they have not applied for licensing in this country. The product was developed as an equine fly spray, and is licensed/used as such in many other countries.

Brilliant stuff but reapply every few days.
Peel the 2nd label off that says do not use on horses to see the instructions for use on animals - makes u feel better about applying direct.

For those of you with a bottle, what does it say on the bottle, where it says "Contains ............."? In other words, what's the active ingredient?

Alec.

PS to my other reply ... I have also heard it recommended as a defence against feather mites, sprayed directly onto legs (... this after I had just spent a significant amount having mites in my highland treated by injection via my vet!! Will definitely be trying Tritek first if he ever gets them again). I also second comments from other replies, my current bottle is on its second summer and should last me out this fly season, so is cost effective when applied every 4-5 days or after a bath.
