Hi Guys

Has anyone used this before? If so does it do what it says on the tin ( so to speak)

The flies are driving my mare mad at the minute especially out hacking and heard about this so bought some which arrived today. Its supposed to get rids of horse flies and all sorts but does it actually work?

It also says on the container 14 days fly control so does that mean I only need to spray it on her every 14 days?

I just thought I would try this as all other sprays aren't seem to be doing anything this year, don't know if anyone else is having the same problems.

used it last year on a friends newforest who came with crab/deer flies (eeekkkk) killed them dead :D was quite effective as a fly spray and smells nice but it doesn't keep the flies off for 14 days from one spraying, maybe it kills the biting flies for up to 14 days :\

Many thanks for replying. it Sounds as though its good stuff then lol. I'm assuming I just spray it on the same as I would normal fly spray?

Thanks for replying. All I need now is some sun again so I can use it lol

I used it all last year in the New Forest (where those darling crab flies call home!) we were right by a small river too so massive number of all kinds of flies including horse flies. I found it worked best when reapplied more often than they suggest for the first few weeks as it has a cumulative effect and definitely worked well once I'd been using it for a while.

Just to note it didn't get rid of all flies, (and nothing, but, nothing keeps crab flies away completely) but, did help a lot, such that I could forget the fly rug and you could see the difference with her fieldmates. I used a cloth to apply it to get the best coverage, I think it says that on the bottle and rubbing it in helped. I think I googled a U S supplier's website to get detailed info on how best to apply it, but, that info may now be on our bottles now.

In a "normal" area it should be brill!
