I have a lovely lady very interested in a horse I have for sale and she is ringing me later to discuss things again. I know it is her first horse and am happy with livery arrangements, etc that she has made. I was thinking of suggesting that she has him on a short trial period, say 1 week, just to make sure that they are totally happy with one another as obviously even if she bought him without a trial and had a problem I would take him back anyway.

So, he is insured so I will let my insurance know, etc, or do you think she needs to insure him herself? Have never done this before so any ideas what else I need to do?!

As long as you have insured the horse, tell your insurance company the situation and where he will be, and make sure she has BHS membership (Gold I believe) to cover her self, it should be fine! You may need her to insure tack though, as when I had my loan horse my loaner's insurnace company wouldn;t insure the tack as it wasn't at my loaners yard, so just check that out with insurance!!
