Me & My sister worked for a woman with a few ponies, but reacently i quit.

I used to excersise one of the ponies free of charge because i got on well with it.
But i left because she was undermineing everything i did (along with other reasons)

Ive now heard from my sister that the pony (welsh b) is in a huge field with knee high grass, owner wont buy a muzzle, hes rugged in a h/w even in the reacent warm weather and few huge feeds :S

Im sooo worried about the pony as i went up and he is showing early signs of lami :S is almost double the weight he should be and is in a terrible state and i found out clueless owner isnt the owner but a loaner. Cant get hold of owner so am now at a loss of what to do, im thinking about posting some info on lami through her letterbox? But what i can do after if she ignores it i dont know! :(

Any ideas, am so upset about the poor little guy :(

If you have genuine concerns regarding the pony and make attempts to contact the true owner but get no response/reply, then your next port of call would be a welfare society.

Have to say, I wish I had even half knee high grass, just spent a flipping fortune on hay again today!!!

I would get in contact with world horse welfare and see if they can educate the owner and monitor the situation before the pony gets very ill. Some people, makes you wonder why they have horses.
