As some of you know I'm looking for a second horse, a jumping schoolmaster essentially! Initially got carried away looking at 16.2 warmbloods etc but between myself and my instructor decided that what I need is a verging on pony type horse who has been there done that.
Tried a 15.2 twice last wk and second time I tried her I wasn't fussed, for couple reasons despite loving her the first time.
Roll on today and tried a full up 148 dun Connie Who is consistent at 1m 10 with scope to go higher.
Think I'm slightly in love lol, the minute I got up on him I felt confident despite thunder and rain battering down on roof of indoor. I was confidently riding him around and coming again and again at a small fence. Found it hard just to sit there and let the pony do the work lol. Met the fence on perfect stride everytime.
He is a stunning ponyhorse with lots of character. My instructor was chuffed and said it went way better than she had imagined.
So next step is 24"hr trial at my yard followed by vetting.... Fingers crossed.
