I want too!

I did just mention to hubby it would be nice to have a herd of broodmares.

He raised one eyebrow at me, what do you suppose that means?

From her description I think her owner posted on here in the last couple of days saying that she was having trouble selling her. Seems hard to believe though!

She has been up for sale for a while. They will need to drop the price to sell I think. Not saying she isnt nice, or worth her price tag, but she is too expensive at the moment.

hi peeps. thanks for all your comments. this is my foal and im glad you all think she is lovely. she is a stunning foal, even though i do say so myself. i have no intention of dropping the price though, im afraid i would rather struggle and keep her if i cant sell at that price. she would excel any sphere. she was bred for the show ring as i compete myself at county level and have done for very many years. i know if i still have her next year, that she will go out and win, hunter breeding/sport horse/competition horse classes. i am very proudof her. just wish i could keep her. very sad owner......

Dozzie- you must be mad if you think that filly is overpriced- doubt you could find anything as good quality as that for that price- I actually think it is rather cheap for what she is!

MillieMay- she is smashing, what a beautifull combination the CB X Trifolio has been!

MilleMay I have to say congrats on such a beautiful looking filly, I sadly, couldnt have her (much as I want her) because I wouldn't know what to do with a foal!!

(does petting it count?)

But wish you all the best with the sale as she is truly gorgeous.

thankyou all so much. after all your lovely comments, i am now considering keeping her if she does not sell for the asking price. after showing her next year, i know her price will double. i have had some very nice private messages from several show judges, which i must say is very encouraging. thankyou all. xxx

Ooh, I couldn't see the advert when the post was made last night, but I can see her now, and she is indeed stunning!

I am not criticising the filly, she really took my eye before and dont think she is overpriced tbh when you compare her to similar foals. But you can pick up 3 yr olds at the moment for about the same and some with cracking breeding. And that IMO is the problem. The market is weak at the moment. Great for buyers but not for sellers.

The problem seems to be that the cost of getting a foal on the ground is more at the moment than the market will pay. What is the point in paying 3k for a foal when you can get a 3 or 4 year old for the same amount? Or less? Horse prices are really bizarre at the moment. 4 yr olds going for less than foals! All over the place IMO

Never seen anything like it!

If she was mine I would hold onto her as it is a bad time to sell at the moment.
