Trigger clip for martingale

Does anyone have any thoughts on adding a trigger clip to a martingale so it can be used with a stud girth with a D ring? I can't see how it could be done without unstitching and re-stitching, and I'm not sure I could find anyone to do it in the current climate!

I've done that to mine..but with a little leather buckled strap I found off something else. It doesn't look very smart but you can't really see it down there anyway!

How about a carabiner clip for now until you can get to a saddler

That's a good point - hadn't thought about it not being visible. Kinda wanted a pretty solution but I'm no stranger to cutting corners
