Trimmers that will clip body hair ? Recommend Please!

Can anyone recommend any trimmers that will clip body length hair ?

Preferably very quiet and with as little vibration as possible.

We have come to a sticking point about half way up my boys neck with a full clip and he will not take the proper clippers any further up.

I have a set of Whal Pro Series trimmers which worked brilliantly on his fetlock hair , but they just will not touch the longer hair on his neck :(

Trimmers in general are not man enough to do a proper clip, but somone else might know of one.

However I have a set of Livery Harmony clippers - they look like trimmers and are small, quiet and have a 3 hr battery pack that you attach to your belt so no flexes to worry about. They come with clip on blades and do not need tensioning. They will do a full clip on a light coated horse but imagine that with a hairy cob type, or first clip might struggle a little.

The Moser Avalons are also excellent and very similiar to the above. I had a set for a very clipper shy welshie and were the only clippers I could get near him. Stupidly I sold them on to my farrier as current horses are good to clip with normal heavy duty mains ones, but found them too clumsy to do faces etc so then invested in the Livery Harmony ones.

I have some human hair clippers i bought for £25 to do my horses ears, face and sensitive bits!! x They work a treat!! x They aren't expensive at all and they are pretty much silent and don't vibrate too much either x
 
Thanks for the advice all, I will take a look at them and decide, my dad has some human hair clippers, I might try them, although I think he would be less than impressed!
 
My masterclip trimmers did my boys face and ears and 3 legs :rolleyes: after having one leg done he decided he didnt want the others done. They are practically silent and I don't think he noticed me doing his face and you can adjust how long they clip so I did his muzzle on the shortest and his legs on the longest so it blended in with the rest of his clip.
