Trimming heels

Could any one give me guide on the best way to trim up heels without using clippers?

Pair of sharp scissors and a pulling comb, comb from pastern out towards fetlock with the comb tight to the skin and trim hair on the outside of the comb (like hairdressers do mens hair)

I used a medium tail rake and it did a really good job, as no tell tale scissor lines.

Also discovered you can buy them cheaper from pet stores!

those tail rakes work on big fluffy cob feathers? pony doesnt like clippers n thinning scissors take forever but would prefer to take them off.

Yep works on everything, fluffy feathers, hard tail and dogs!!
