Trimming?

It just wondered what your farriers do. At my old yard the farrier use to do a great job of Buddys hoofs. They use to be really nicely trimmed and shaped so that they didn't grow back quickly.
At new yard i had their farrier trim his hoofs and he did a cr*p job. All he did really was reshape them and didn't trim them down like other farrier did.

Problem is he costs £5 more than old farrier and does a bad job. But i dont have the number for previous farrier. Any ideas???

i trim my own horses feet, i very rarly take any length of his as his is a tb and grow little, i do reshape and remove all flare. On other horses i trim i take length off as and when require, not necessarily everytime, i respage, remove flar and rasp the wall up to about 2 inches up.
