This is the first time I have tried a poll - about to purchase a musto show jacket

and I am dithering about options.

What do you like best? -
(for a quite short person - not skinny. To wear with a black velvet hat and cream or beige jods on a yellow dun horse. with black tack)

Took me ages to decide!! Personally prefer navy jacket but not with a black hat. I like cream stocks but would go with a white saddlecloth everytime!!

All down to personal preferance. Can we have a pic of your yellow dun please. I love Duns!!

Its Scotland, bound to be soggy..... I think you would be better off keeping white. Just an observation that I like cream stocks. I voted for option 1.

I love that dorsal stripe x

Well I was always taught that traditionally it should be navy for girls and black for boys so would only buy a navy jacket!! Cream always looks less harsh than white!

However if you have a black hat its better to match?

I would always say navy but because he has so much black on him and black tack I might be thinking black !
Also you could not do Navy jacket and black hat !

Def not black hat and navy jacket! On a dun the black and gold jacket would look v nice, with a cream stock cream johds and either white or cream numnah (providing all the creams match!)

get a pic

Well as u have black hat then prob gotta be a black jacket too, though I was always taught girls are navy boys are black.
I like stocks to be a little warmer than white as this can be quite harsh, but don't go to 'cream' as it might clash with ur boy!!!
And def a white numnah as it looks great in the pic!!!

If you've got the black hat then go for the black jacket, a cream stock will soften it. I think a cream saddle cloth will just look dirty!

I had the same problem but in reverse - well meaning and generous husband (boyfriend at the time) bought me a BLACK hunt coat for my birthday. He'd gone to the trouble of getting it exactly to fit and it was v expensive and I just didn't have the heart to tell him that I'd prefer navy.... Then had to get black beagler as coat was black, then needed a non-tweed coat for competing but it also had to be black as the beagler is!

Now I'm stuck in this black vicious circle - though I much prefer navy!

Black Jacket, to match your hat. I really dont like the look of differnt colour hat/jackets.
Cream Stock- TBH I dont like black jackets as they look too harsh, but cream will soften it.
White saddlecloth- Its pretty much a uniform! Cream will probably look dirty/old.

Definitely black jacket if you have a black hat.
I voted cream stock and saddle cloth but equally a white stock and saddle cloth wouold look good too!!
Always have a cream stock as it is easier to keep clean than a white one!

I voted navy jacket, white stock and white saddlecloth!

(sorry!) My logic being .... I prefer navy jackets and you will presumably keep this jacket for ages so you are bound to buy a new hat at some point and you could buy a navy one...?

You could always get a navy jacket with a black collar... and then you would sort of match for the time being? Also in my opinion, white will look good on a dun providing a nice contrast to coat colour - creamy colours could be a bit samey (sp?).

I voted black jacket -cos of his markings and your hat. But I like it all to match i.e white stock, breeches, saddle cloth. (when I say like I mean I am so bad I wouldn't even contemplate not! I was competing someone elses horse the other week who really dithered about what saddle cloth they were using and it sent my planning into orbit - I am fully aware I should get out more

Navy. Black looks harsh. You will have to replace your hat before the jacket. Cream stock. White saddle cloth.

I have navy on various greys, bays, chestnuts...white saddle cloths for dressage.

Grey gelding used to have black tack so nav works with that....persuaded his owner that brown is better though :P

I'm definately a navy person but as your hat is black I'd go for black jacket. If it's beige jods it's got to be cream stock - and white saddle cloth. I only wear a white stock when I've got my white dressage jods on.
