Does anyone have these? How do they fit? Wear well?

Noticed that my youngsters legs get very hot, touching on sweaty, under bandages when schooling, saw these today and was impressed by how light they are. Would just be for standard every day use.

Before I shell out wondered peoples opinions... also sizing? She is a 16hh WB, not especially fine though.

I have both the allsport and the impact boots, I actually originally got them for using for turnout in summer.

The allsport boots are good, they fit ok but due to the bobbles inside they do twist slightly and when used for hours for turnout they rub a little (rub the hair but not the skin). However I believe there is a new design now without the bobbles on the inside. They do keep the legs pretty cool. I got white ones as they were on offer and obviously they aren't really white anymore but I did use them for turnout! Also the material at the bottom has frayed a little which doesn't affect use of the boots, just how they look. But they did get a lot of use before I got a black pair of the ones below to use for turnout!

The Impact boots I think are better, they are more protective and they keep the legs even cooler than the allsport ones I have. They wear really well - he has worn them for turnout but not in winter, however he now gets worked in them every day as I like how easy they are, they dry quickly and I can easily brush dry sand or mud off, plus the legs are kept cool. I know they are meant to be XC boots but I like the protection they give for dressage and for hacking. However, I did win these and if I hadn't I would be happy sticking with the allsport ones, especially to try the new design.

I particularly love them for turnout as legs never sweat in them, even on the hottest days, and only get marginally warmer than the rest of the leg, like no other boots I've found.

I have the large ones for my horse, he is 16.3hh WB, fairly fine legs but the boots would easily go around more bone.

The impact boots are one of the best things I've ever purchased! I love them, pony comes back with cool legs even after going XC. Velcro is very secure too. Highly recommend them.

I had allsports boots for turning out and I loved them, kept MM cool but well protected and didn't rub at all!

MM is 7/8 tb and the large fitted perfectly. Shame she's now retired and living out cos it means they're just sat in my tack box unused :(

I am obsessed about not adding weight to legs and not over heating tendons, so when I eventually decided that the wb really needed boots, I did LOADS of research, including picking up and handling as many brands of boots as possible at every tack room/trade stand around!

I chose the alsports becuase they were so light and cool. They don't slip, don't hold water, don't rub, and don't heat the legs. There is no rigid pad that could shatter. I use the cob size on the stumpy short front legs of my 16.2 WB (9" bone) and horse size on her hinds.

eta the cob size fit width ways with not much to spare, and height wise spot on. I would guess cob would be the better fit for yours, but I can measure mine later if you want?

Yes I must say I went to saddlery shop yesterday and had a fondle - I do still prefer the allsports I think. The impact look really big, and more of an XC boot? I only want them for day to day schooling so want them as light as possible. I think the medium SHOULD be ok... now to attack my bank account methinks!
