I want to buy a troxel helmet but want to try them on first. Does anyone know of any saddlers that stock them - ideally want to try the spirit, the legacy gold and the sierra. i have been told that the legacy is deeper at the back?
I live in south london - but have a car! i am not sure about buying one untried from a catologue.
Any suggestions greatfully received or comments as to how good they are or not!
 
I bought a riding hat from Robinsons and was concerned, like you, that it wouldn't be the right fit. I rang them up and asked about their returns policy and she said that every package that goes out has a returns label so all you need to do is return it and order another style/make. I was lucky that the 1st hat I ordered fit well but the only drawback I can see is that it could take you a couple of weeks to get the right hat and right fit. Mind you, many tack shops these days don't hold a huge supply of stock and would also have to order a hat in for you. Happy hunting!
 
Don't think I would buy anything OTHER than a troxel from a catalogue to be honest.

However the troxels come in small, med and large only with an adjustable dial at the back, and in the catalogue it will tell you what their sizes correspond to in terms of hat sizes ie med is 6 7/8 to 7 1/4.

I bought a med as my ordinary hat is 7 1/8 and it fitted perfectly.

thanks - unfortunatly, i am am on the boundary of a small or a medium and running out of time on a last min holiday! think i am due to get in the car for some marathon driving to go Brum and try them on at the weekend!
