Ok, Troy's SHB(GB) came this morning, and I have organised for the vet to come out on Friday to take the DNA sample and do the drawings that are required. I have decided to register him with the SHB(GB) stud book at the same time so that it is done but I NEED A NAME FOR HIM!!!

So get your thinking caps on guys...

Dam: Hollinhurst Rebel

Sire: Pro-Set
(Pro-Set's sire: JetSet D by Zircoon out of Escansen and Pro-Set's dam: Jelesta by Flemmingh out of Elesta)

I like the sound of JetSet Rebel, but probably not what you're after lol.

Either that or you could go for something related to his stable name, like "Paris of Troy" or Menelaos or something. That might be too cheesy for you though.

For the life of me I cannot think what SHB stands for *blushes*

Name wise:
Pro Rebel
Pro Troy
Pro Set Jet Set
Jet Set Rebel
Pro Set Rebel

Well, you can't use Hollinghurst cos it's not your prefix but you could use something like
Rebel Set,
Pro Rebel,
Rebel's Troy,
Rebel Promise. etc; loads will have better, it usually takes me ages to choose and then they're all the wrong ones, they sound wrong when they get to be sold!
Remember, his proper name will be with him for life!
Have you got a local landmark or something you could use as well?

I would think so as long as the name isn't taken. Have you checked that it is a recognised prefix with the Central Prefix Register/SHB/BD? If it isn't what about your Dad applying for it then you only have to think shorter names?!

I like Trojan Rebel too!

It is a registered Prefix... already checked last year

Not too bothered about using the Hollinhurst on Troy, it was more for hannah and all his registration docs are using her as Hollinhurst Rebel

If that's her registered name then you should use it for everything if you can; if BD have another HR perhaps you could have HR ll or lll! She should certainly go down as HR on Troy's registration as his dam of course.

But it is actually the name I gave her when I started competing her because my Dad said he would help with the fees by sponsoring her which enabled me to get the trailer I did... all this registration stuff is so damn complicated

I will try to register her as HR with BD, she will not be registered with any other body anyway.

Just read some of the other replies......

Some great suggestions! If you want to use the hollinhurst....what about

Hollinhurst Rebel Jetset

I think something along the lines to do with Troy. Such a Dardanus who was the founder of Troy. Not really up on my Greek and can't get much more out of Wikipedia.
