I went to see Hannah and Troy at stud on Friday, and he recognised me as soon as I shouted his name. He came trotting over, but was definitely less cocky than he used to be and a little calmer too

But he still did his 'showing off' routine where he trots around tossing his head about which is sort of a trademark now

Anyway, Hannah looked a bit poor so I had taken extra feed up for her (TopSpec) to help keep her looking in condition. On some photos she looks ok, but in a few of them she looks like she did in real life which was very ribby and her hibs protruding quite a bit. She still has her pregnant tummy which should hopefully reduce when she is brought back into work, and her coat was in good condition. Her bag had definitely decreased too... she allowed Troy to feed for around one minute then kicked him away and repeated the kicking everytime he came near her after this. So it does look as though she is ready to wean him now

I recognise you... I used to give you the run around when Mum didn't bring me in from the field!

I'll pretend I have missed you, but really I have been having such a good time with my new orange friend!

I am glad I have sent him there, but equally glad I did it the way I have done. He has been really well handled up until he went to stud at just under 6 months.

They look like a contented bunch! So pleased that you are pleased with the decision you made. It certainly looks to have been a good one.

Don't worry too much about Hannah. She looks great in the photo's, and has a real shine on her coat.

He looks exactly like he should do at this age Becki, fab to see him having fun with his new friends!! My mare looked a bit on the thin side until my colt had actually left her and allowed her to have a little peace and quiet and eat without being harassed! She'll pick up quickly enough when shes back at home!

They are looking fine, as Parisienne_Girl says would not worry too much about her, but giving her something extra may help. Its good to hear you sounding more positive about it all now, as we all know you were worried if you had done the right thing........but they both seem happy and content.............x
