Following our disappointing outing today (see weekend plans) can anyone recommend someone to help with a spooky horse (something like TRT etc, I don’t want to bully him out of it or ‘manage’ him, I want him to not feel the need to spook & bog off in the first place)
I’m on the Somerset / Wilts / Dorset border and would like a real person rather than online learning.
T is a strange horse. I would describe him as laid back (my vets said this as well). When riding on a loose rein he’s 99% fine. In a contact he just flips from chilled to spook & bog off. You won’t see him jogging and breathing fire or giving signs of tension, one minute he’s fine, next minute he’s off. It’s really hampering schooling and dressage tests now so I need some help.
Any suggestions please?
