We got dropped off at one end & walked back, some of it over safe area as yesterdays walk.

Dogs were still up for it but not as bouncy as yesterday! 2.5 hrs later & landed back at base!

Just going up first bit of track & Q came up behind me & only had a hare in her mouth! So I then placed it for her to retireve again so I could take pics! Was a fair weight for her & I don't think it helped that it was frozen so very stiff in her mouth!
Least it had it's body attatched to its head after yesterday's mask!!

Her waddling back to me with it!

Cookies & warm milk if you got this far!

Thank you!

We are in the North Yorkshire Dales, born & bred here! Though have worked up (Northumberland) & down (West Sussex & Bristol) with horses but have always returned here! We use to farm just a little further up from the end of walk pic!

Wow, that hare looks quite a weight. Gorgeous pics and countryside. But you are the second person who has posted pictures today with green grass

Where is all the frost, I have not seen our grass for almost a week now, everywhere looks very pretty but I am sure the neddies would like to be able to graze properly again, and I would really like the taps to thaw

Oh it is frozen hard, we have not hunted since Boxing Day as it is so hard under foot, you can see in 3rd pic from bottom a patch of frost.

Next time I will take pics of the frosty bits!! Mind it does beat sinking when out walking as alot of what we went across is boggy usually!!

The hare was heavy, I was quite supprised when I took it of her! She literally waddled to me with it, it was so funny which I had videoed it instead of pics!

I can smell it from here!!
happy washing!
What part of the Dales are you? My OH and I have had some glorious hols in Swaledale. I absolutely love it up there.

Settle so not far away!

Luckily it didn't actually smell, think that was bog area & the thing she was trying to roll in was frozen!!

I just call her stink hound when she does that!!

I'm so jealous of your walks! I have some lovely walks here but all a car journey away. That was a really good slither around in that whatever that was. Something dead and stinking I'll bet

I am hoping it is in good stead for tomorrow!!

Yes it is very bonny country & very proud to live here!

I thought Quail was anorexic as a pup! But have resigned to the fact that she is a slight lab! Means I don't have to work hard at keeping the weight off, well her at least! We won't mention me!!LOL!

Otto would love belting around there! And I wouldn't mind hunting around there, except my bloody horse is broken, so maybe next year I'll do a bit of visiting different hunts!

Otto does leaps across ditches like that, it terrifies me as my Mums cocker broke both elbows (a year apart) jumping across a ditch! We think he has brittle bones though.
Otto stuffs it up regularly and ends up in the bottom of the ditch, which is very amusing!

Lovely pics! Quail is a stunning lab, really nice shape.

What fabulous pics - lovely dogs and lovely walking area

I am very envious - we do have the Malvern Hills to walk over very near us, but they always have sheep on so the dogs have to stay on the lead

Thank you, Is one of the reasons I could never live in a city/town! I have been spoilt!

Luckily not every field is full of sheep here! mind mine will walk at heal off lead through them. Then over stile & I release them again!
