So sorry, she was a lucky hound to find you
I lost my beautiful Amy lurcher this morning. She had another vestibular episode, much worse than the last one - she was so distressed, I know she would have recovered in time but I couldn’t keep putting her through that at her age ? Not that it matters, but the vet agreed that it was likely the attacks would become more frequent and more severe if I had let them continue, and as always quality of life is paramount for me with my dogs.
I was lucky to have had Amy for 10 wonderful years after nagging Cayla incessantly until she let me adopt her, I could not have asked for a better dog in every way. She will leave a huge gap in my life.
Amy was also the last of the original, and the best ever, greyhound gang...... god I miss them all so very very much ????
She always loved her walks, she went on her last one yesterday with her usual enjoyment although this was a couple of days ago

I knew that it was a few years since I read the posts between you, and Cayla, about Amy. But 10 years, how time flies.
It is so lovely to see the pictures of the original Greyhound Gang, even though it is sad at the same time. We wouldn't want to be without all the love, and joy, they bring to our daily life, but that also leads to them leaving such big holes in our lives/hearts, when they're gone.
You did what was best for her. In the, hopefully unlikely, event that I die tomorrow, and if that makes me come back to earth as a dog, I hope I end up with you as my owner.
Lots of {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}
