I'd like to buy my mare a new heavy weight stable rug, and I'm really keen to get one that takes the pressure off the withers.

Has anyone had experience with the Trust rugs vs the new Weatherbeeta Comfitec? The Trust rugs come highly recommended by a friend, but with a much higher price tag, so wondering if the memory foam wither pad is as good as the Trust system which completely removes all weight from the withers.

Any other suggestions also welcome!

I had never heard of the Trust rugs but don't like what they show on that link, they would have to be a perfect fit so they don't pull elsewhere, it looks to me as if they could end up behind the withers putting pressure there and also on the chest, at that price I would not want to try one to find out if they work or not.
I have one that has a prominent wither and he is best with a higher cut neck rug similar to the other link, I am sure the Trust would end up behind his wither which a high cut neck, full neck or wug type rug does not.

Never heard of Trust rugs. I have just bought my boy a Weatherbeeta warmer rug for winter, its really nice and reasonable priced.
