Trustworthy insurance companies???

Hi all,

I'm looking into insurance for my GG. (he is currently insured, but want to know people's opinions on different insurance companies)

Recently, one of my friend's horses was taken into have vet treatment and their insurance company is coming up with every excuse as to why they won't pay out for the vet fees! It's resulted in my friend paying £2000+ in vet bills and I don't want to get into the same situation so am looking for advice as to which insurance company would be best!

I've never had a problem with insurance companies. But then the key is to understand your policy and read the T&Cs.

I've primarily used NFU, but also KBIS.
 
I agree, you get what you pay for - I make sure I have done my research. Also I always clear any treatment before it is carried out (barring emergencies obviously), with my insurance company.

I use Petplan and Amtrust. I have been using Amstrust for years and have made several claims, always efficient and professional. Petplan I have yet to claim with.
