Me like! Messed up little fence, didn't miff at bigger one and could easily have stopped. D looks right on it and it is a steady sort that if it just keeps coming will be brill. Nice looking pony.
Also, she goes to her fence ears forward and they stay forward. This is a seriously nice mare. If D prefers it I know from experience she'll do better on it! I've looked again and I like her even more. Is she a full up 14.2 and may I ask where from - PM me if you'd prefer... No, I really really like this pony.
Really like her she seems like a very honest pony. Your daughter rides her nicely as well and size wise i think they are better suited ( not that she was big on the other just this ones build accomodates her leg better)
Seems a reasonable price, does it hack, clip no vices ect...
Lovely pony, really think she will look after your daughter, but be alot of fun! The sort we all wanted at that age I think,,,will do the job without being stupid or high maintenance. Really really like.
It's from a dealers in Cheshire. They have said it doesn't hack out alone well because it has always been used as a competition horse. The dealer sold it to the family who have had it for the past few years and has taken it back as a part exchange. They say it can just be a bit spooky on a hack as it hasn't had much experience. They say no vices. Seems a solid mare and young enough to resell in a few years.
I have seen the height certificate - 147.5cm. I have seen her french passport and her bsja record.
The hacking is not a major barrier. Jenny's TB is extremely laid back and will be able to be the lead horse when hacking out. The dealer thinks that it's only spooky because it has never done it.
I liked the character of the grey more - the girls love this one.
Hi ive been following your posts, and sent you some pm's,
Im so pleased you took my word for it and went to see this pony on my reccomendations, im just glad your daughter liked it. I like it, its genuine and will help your daughter out when she needs it.
Liz is a honest dealer, we have bought 5 horses off her over the years (the lastest arrived 3 days ago) and i can honestly say that everyone has been as described, and had done the job it was bought for.
Yes - thanks a lot for the recommendation showjump. She seemed a very nice person and very honest. The conditions weren't great for trying out - very windy and slightly rainy and the pony did well considering. She looked at a dog in the field next door - but still jumped - Abby made a few mistakes but she still jumped. She hit the poles a few times but very lightly.
From your post i think this pony could be what she needs, she needs something that will not mine if she misses to a fence, she has got a year left in ponies(?) so needs something up and running that could go to a show straight away. I think the fizzy pony might prove abit careless and have some poles, most fizzy ponies do especially in jump off ect as they can boil over so to speak IMO.
There are *alot* of things in this ponies favour. Its a great size and build for your daughter who seems tall-ish. It has an absolutely cracking jump from what i can see and rides in a nice steady rhythm - which means so much at BSJA. It has experience of BSJA but has only won a little money, meaning you have lots of room to jump BN at your leisure. Its young too.
The only down side i can see is the hacking, but if you are not fussed by this and feel you could work through it, i would go for it. (It wouldnt bother me in the slightest - and would give you smething to work on).
I think your daughter really has her head screwed on with this one.
My friend keeps appaloosas - her daughters have always competed on them. They've done (among other things)Riding Club National Horse Trials Finals with them and hunted them. Great breed of horses - very genuine. Also know a couple of people who BE event them.
Mm, really lovely pony but she doesnt seem to 'gel' with it as well as the grey.
With the grey they looked like an instant partnership and seemed to have a real rapport together, and even though she looked a little tall for it they just fitted eachother.
Although she is still ok on this one, there's not such an instant connection and they dont seem to be so well in balance together.Although I wonder if thats the saddle as it looks like it put her into a bit of an awkward position.
Both are lovely ponies, I personally prefer the grey as thats just the type I like, although it would prob be better as an event pony rather than as a showjumper.... but I thought your daughter looked more comfortable on the grey. She was also happier on it, and enjoyed it more which is a sixth sense feeling I have from comparing these videos. (even though she said she preferred the appy!)
