I honestly feel like I am going bonkers. I have looked on the internet at thousands of horseboxes now.
By budget is not too bad at up to £5500 but it is the payload that is killing my search as i am looking for 1100kg or more!!
I have found a lovely box but it is 300 miles away.
Would anybody like to help me search. PLease :O)
Apart from the above details I need a side loader or to have a side exit ramp as my welsh D is not happy reversing from a horsebox.

Anything within 200 miles of Lancashire would be good.

Thank you all for your time
Teresa

Cheers Webble - great minds think alike I have this on a watch list.
Thanks for the help.
But I have a few reservations about the partitions and the hinges on the ramp.
Maybe I am just too cautious...

I will keep an eye on this :O)

Not sure how much I can say on here with it being an open forum etc. etc., but please be careful with certain sellers on eBay...

Yes I had a few reservations too but I was more thinking if they build to order you could ask for your own changes on another one.

Could you spend slightly more and get a sharer or rent out to help cover the extra ? There are some lovely ones going for around 7.5-8k just not around here grr

little ginger please would you pm me anything you don't want to say in public

They do hold their value well so you're probably looking at an older one for that budget.

A few things to keep an eye out for:
- Payload (get evidence)
- Emergency exit (try and steer away from fixed breast bars or put money aside to get an emergency exit put in)
- Check the bulkhead, it should be reinforced
- Check the bodywork, as older vans do rust

And yes, I'd be worried about the partition and ramp on that ebay one too (amongst other things)

Thank you all for your help - I am glad i posted now it has been informative.

Little ginger - the PM was very helpful, thanks for sparing the time to send me the details.

I think I may have found a perfect horsebox and its only 300 miles away !!!!

The things we do for our bloody horses :O)
