Trying to source shredded paper.

Our yard has a paper only bedding policy. This seems to be increasingly difficult to source and as for price ....!

Does anyone know of a source within delivery range Hants/Wilts border, or does anyone in this area have a supply of shredded paper suitable for horse bedding they would like to dispose of, happy to collect if in sufficient quantity?

tried for a while and broke the shredder for insufficient output! Obviously would need a less work shy machine which means a bigger outlay and also sufficient quantities of paper to make it worthwhile. I am thinking along these lines but will have to do some research and the sums.
 
SPH Supplies sell a paper bedding made from tea bag off-cuts, maybe worth a look?
They're mail order so can send to pretty much anywhere.

rehodnett thanks. Looks wonderfully cosy and I'd probably loose him in the white froth of ex teabags as he's grey! Not sure it will pass the paper policy tho.
 
Sorry depurple just reread your post, no horse so probably you aren't using at the moment, unless you know someone who does? Thanks for suggestion.
 
Silver_Snaffles - sorry just checked SPH's website - don't think the tea-bag-bedding is on the website - they only seem to have small animal bedding featured on there. Prob worth (if you're interested) giving them a call to find out more.
 
I use Shredded card board nd love it, it not much different thank mucking out shavings, but as ur on papper u wont notice a differnce, i use 2 bags a week at £4 each and i got it from the forum user on here SJ_HAY, i had 30 bags delivered in august nd i've still got enough left to last me until next month.
 
DunRoamin that sounds brill. Not sure how I contact SJ-HAY. Found one (different font) on the User List but hasn't been active since 2007 is this the one I should pm do you think?
 
Hi there, I use cardboard on my 4 and its fantastic, works very simular to shavings and rots down very quickly in the muckheap. It looks strange to begin with but love it now.
When i first put the old mares bed down one of the bags were shredded Utterly Butterly boxes, told the old girl she could have her tea when the jigsaw was finished...lol
