Need to use a support bandage underneath boots or fleece bandage for my polo pony who has previous tendon issues/windgalls. He is a new pony, and am unsure of history. Previous owner was told to use vetwrap underneath bandages for polo and normal bandages for riding.

I want a re-usable more supportibe alternative and either think tubigrip (on horse and hound reviews) and a new product called a "Equiflex Sleeve" Basically a compression slip (like tubigrip) made for horses. http://equiworldlimited.co.uk/tacks...id=510&zenid=b2734fde3eb99d1352c27b2719d2bcb0

Any reviews/tips would be fab.

Horse is 100% sound, wears Premier Equine Cold Boots after exercise/play then NAF Ice cool after that, has joint supplements and micronised linseed.

Thank you, which brand do you use, I found the on the roll stuff too thin and not supportive. Will pop to boots this week and buy the more expensive stuff. and do you double layer?

I think you need to make sure you are buying proper Tubigrip! Beware of cheap imitations, although they can be useful too. Tubigrip does also come in a roll without losing quality, not always easy to find... I find eBay is the best source...

The Equiflexsleeves say that they are meant to take the place of standing wraps/bandages (in the stall for overnight, etc.) - not for exercise or under boots. I have heard of some high level barrel racers in the states using them under polo wraps (rather than under boots). There is a product called Equisox that you can cut to length that is meant to go under boots to keep them from chafing - not sure who makes it.
