Thinking about trying turmeraid in pellet form for an elderly (26)year old companion horse. I have had her since April and she often looks like she wants to lie down but then doesn't. I happened to see her trying to have a roll yesterday and it was a struggle for her to get up.... She fell to her knees. She has hock arthritis but is otherwise fit and well. I wondered if this was a supplement worth trying her on and thought I would ask on here whether it is a waste of money?

Works brilliantly for my old girl she has it daily did use turmeric pepper and linseed to start with but turmeraid is easier and works as well. You will no doubt be told it is nonsense but she only has to miss one day and she is nodding lame. She had surgery for her annular ligament 18 years ago so the lamenes is stiffness in her front fetlock. Just about to start her on a bit of devils claw as she tweaked her other leg galloping on the hard ground

It works very well but is one of the more expensive turmeric supplements on the market. i did some research into what to look for in a turmeric supplement and have found a cheaper one in powder form that works just as well and comes in plastic bags not tubs so slightly less plastic to dispose of.

I tried my 25yo on hack up bespoke mix (I know, I know) which is largely turmeric and Boswellia with a few other things - and to my surprise seems to work, so I’m sticking with it!!
I could mix my own, but darent take the risk ?
