This is a very good group with a vet on site, I am currently feeding my dog the golden paste, loads of recipes in the files, where to buy the turmeric etc and lots of supportive knowledgable people.
The dogs get a 5ml scoop with 6 swists of Black Pepper and a dash of Olive Oil. They have this twice a day. I give them some milk in the morning and add the mixture to that and then I just add the mixture to their dinner at night.
The 2 younger ones get it as they are both working Springers and it helps the during the shooting season and the 2 older ones get it for their ageing joints.
All of my animals get it. Join the group Dobiegirl linked, but read the info under Files before asking questions or they get upset! There's a lot of info, but my horse is noticeably better, dragged me up the lane today on a mission, me ski-ing behind! It's also resolved my pain/lameness to the extent that I can now squat down (believe me, that's huge!!) Source decent turmeric, Valleyview is good, Google their website.
Turmeric is a health supplement. Health supplements can help the body deal with certain problems but you do not seem to know why your dog is sore, surely depending on the cause of the problem other actions may be needed apart from using turmeric? For instance, if she has pulled a muscle, restricted exercise at the very least.
