To anyone who has ever considered using Turmeric for their horse I'd say give it a go. G has been on turmeric a few weeks now and hey presto, no more toe dragging!:D It could just be a coincidence but its so cheap I'll be keeping on going.

Its just normal Turmeric from the supermarket, probably costing me about £1 a week. If I lived in a more multicultural area I could buy it in bulk and it'd be even cheaper.

G has a very slight toe drag on his off hind in trot but I was reluctant to get the vet out and be told I was hysterical when he is clearly sound and happy so thought I'd try it as I know people recommend it for mild stiffness. Certainly seems to have worked.

G has a 25ml scoop per day. No idea if thats the right amount, other people may feed more but it seems to do the trick.

Turmeric is a well known natural anti-inflammatory. You can get painkillers from health food shops called "Miradin" - expensive - and the main ingredient in those is turmeric.
Another one which works quite well is ginger as that is also an anti-inflammatory. However please be aware that both these products will thin the blood so if you do get a cut, it may well bleed more than usual....
