Hi
Both my greyhounds are coming up 9 and getting a little stiffer as you'd expect.
Their Chiropractor recommended we try them on some turmeric.
So I got some VetVits Flexi Turmeric for dogs. Started them on 2 tablets a day (recommended for their size was 4 but I wanted to ease them in) It has made a huge difference to their movements and bounciness. But, it seems to be upsetting their tummies to the point I am up nearly every hour overnight with one or the other of them - 4 times last night. Not their fault and I'm happy they let me know they need to go, but it's not good for them or me. I gave them a couple of days off and their tummies returned to normal. Gave them 1 tablet each last night and I have one up at 12, other up at 1 then 2am, then first one back out again at 4am.
So a couple of questions.
Is this normal?
Should I persevere?
Should I try a different type of Turmeric?
Should I try something else all together? If so what? Do I just bite the bullet financially and stick them on Yumove like my previous hound?
Thank you :)

Maybe pure turmeric, but when I was dosing the horse, I added freshly ground pepper which is supposed to activate the anti-inflammatory properties of the turmeric. I’ve stopped with the dogs because I thought they’d had an accident due to the stench in the lounge, but it was just the turmeric. 🤦🏼‍♀️
