Turn out rugs and neck covers

I have a couple of Mark Todd MW turn out rugs and I could do with adding a neck cover to them. However, saddleries in my new area don't stock Mark Todd rugs. As I'm a firm believer in actually going shopping (rather than on line), does anyone know if there is another make that is compatible ? Mark Todd rugs have 3 D-rings on them, Mark Todd neck covers have 3 clips that attach to the 3 rings. Shires neck covers have 3 strips of velcro in what might be the right places but they seem a bit flimsy to take the risk. Does anyone know what would be compatible with a Mark Todd rug ? I believe Amigo neck covers use one or two ring attachments, worth double checking maybe because they should be easier to source

Wetherbeeta have 3 rings. Shires, too. My pony's Amigo uses the square rings and velcro on neck cover, so check model as it's definitely not compatible with his Mark Todd.

Thanks Fransurrey, great to know what won't work. I have Amigo rugs that use the velcro on the neck cover and they definitely don't work with Mark Todd rugs, so thanks for the confirmation ( I was wondering if I could get it to work somehow, but obviously not !). If only there was one system !

Good on you for trying to shop in bricks and mortar. Have you asked if they can order in?

My favourite rug brand for my natives is shires, my local tack shop don't stock as standard but can order in if I tell them what I specifically want. That may be because they are the same company as brands they do stock. Not sure if that would apply to mark Todd though, don't know who distributes them.

Jumpers Horse Line ( JHL) are basically the unbranded MT. They certainly were interchangeable a few years ago neck cover wise.

Could you ask your local places to order one in for you? They must be able to source them through their supply lines.

Local store will only order in from companies they deal with already, which are Shires and Weatherbeeta. Not knocking either company at all but I've got Mark Todd rugs ! I just thought if there was one in my hand that fitted the bill I'd go for it. Thanks to all for replies - sadly no-one round here stocks JHL either but very useful to know info.

Be careful with weatherbeeta necks - my orican attaches with rings but my original has Velcro!
