9 month colt managed a choking episode last weekend, fortunately he's now fine. For the first couple of days he wouldn't touch his normal feed (Suregrow) even when soaked but was happy with hay. He's still turning his nose up at the Suregrow and he loved it before; I can get him to eat about half his portion with coaxing but he leaves the rest. Has anyone had the same experience? Did they eventually go back to eating all their feed?
It wasn't even the Suregrow which caused the choke so I can't blame it on association, I thought perhaps he might have been a bit sore but hay goes down ok!
