Can anyone recommend some waterproof turnout boots?

Ive seen the equilibrium ones but they are very expensive, are the Sportabac ones as good even though they dont cover as much of the hoof?

also the horse will be living out, is it ok to say take the boots off for a few hours when he is in, then put a clean pair back on, or can you really only leave them on 12hours?

And can anyone recommend any other brands?

We have the Equilibium and Sportabac T/O boots, both I highly reccomend. My mare once upon a time, lived out 24/7 so she had the boots on most of the time(Obviously taken off for a few hours each day) Then I'd put a clean/dry pair back on.

I have some equilibrium equi chaps which I don't think are worth the money as the water used to seap up underneath them so my horse would still get wet muddy legs, although in fairness they did keep most of his leg dry. I know a lot of people who have the sportabac ones and think they're very good.

I have sportbac on one of my boys and find them good saying that its hardly awful at the mo!!!! Can't say what they are like in the real mud of winter.... probably yet to come!!

I've got Equilibrium close contact chaps and the Sportabc long turn out socks. The Equilibrium ones are really fiddly to put on/take off especially with numb fingers in the winter. I prefer the Sportabac boots.
