I have several pairs which have proved invaluable over the years. The brand labels have gone but they are not the very expensive makes -trizone/drizone ? I definetely bought a couple of pairs from Premier Equine but the rest are Countrywide Farmers or local saddlers.

Just make sure they are neoprene and have plenty of velcro straps. The one's I use have a re-inforced pad directly under the back of the fetlock/pastern area. Also make sure you buy one's that are long enough. You must have half an inch over the top of the hoof to prevent the mud soaking up the leg.

They seem a bit stiff and rigid when first used but soon mould to the shape of the leg and fetlock joints. I rode in the boots in wet weather too, and they also saved the horse a nasty overreach which sliced through the boot but only bruised the horse.

They wash and dry really well, but make sure you give them a hose through before putting them in the washing machine, because the mud that seems to lodge in the fabric is a lot and my machine was not impressed.

I wouldn't be worrying about buying the most expensive, base your choice on the thickness of the fabric and the fit.
