having bought a grey and now realising she is turning orangey/brown would like a hood for neck and face that she can have on when out.have seen the snuggy hoods but quite expensive.are there others please

i did have a Weatherbeeta one but it ripped really quickly. Snuggy hoods are by far the best, you do get what you pay for

I bought a cheapo Rhinegold universal turnout hood off Ebay at the beginning of last winter. Didn't expect it to last tbh, but it did me proud and has survived to be used again this winter.

What I like the most is that it has buckles under the neck not velcro, so it stays done up. The only drawback is that if it is very windy (our field is on the side of a mountain) the neck cover does tend to flap away from the rug a bit.

Didn't rub his mane at all either

My snuggy hood is in its third season now. Expensive but worth it. There are some seconds direct from the manufacturer on ebay at the moment, so I've bought another for when one's in the wash.

Not sure about full face hoods but my main tip would be to buy the same brand hood as the rug you want to attach it to! The different brands all mount the rings on the rugs and the velcro attachments on the hoods in different places! For example I had real trouble attaching a Weathabeta hood to a Saxon rug because there ended up being a huge gap between the rug and the hood which filled with mud! Nightmare!
