Hi Has anyone used a turnout hood - think snuggys do them - they have heads as well - our fields are poached and am spending all my time brushing and not riding which is awkward when you have a baby and your own business! Horse is a demon for getting claggy bits of mud ALL over face and in ears etc. Spent 45 minutes brushing/washing and still no better - never known such a grubby one! If anyone has used them/knows where to get a cheap one let me know - please! Thanks

My friend uses them all the time, they're a god send! I was going to get one for my mare but came to over £86 or something silly, find any cheap ones send the info my way......

I think they are one of the best thing invented and save hours! I found a snuggyhood one on ebay (had to search quite hard for a decent price mind you!) Think I got it for about £50 Ill try to find out the sellers name for you.

This is my boy looking totally disgusted in his!

snuggy now do a small face one for rugs with necks on, there about 40 pounds, or there's the full ones as suggested above, i have just ordered a small face one.

Hes pretty good really it doesnt have a zip so I have to get him to push his head in whilst i get it over his mahhosive ears! Then when it comes off he has to walk backwards to I can peel it off! We have mastered it now but it was tricky to start with bearing in mine hes 17.1 and Im on tip toes most of the time

BTW you can get them with zips for easy access!!

Snuggy hood is the only one I've found that doesn't slip over their eyes when turned out/rolling etc. The rolled edge round the eye holes on the cheaper ones can come across edge of their eye and give them a sore eye (or worse) Yes, Snuggy hoods are expensive but they last and the design is great, they are also very helpful if the fit is wrong. I'm not anything to do with them BTW!
